Technology is so important in the time we are living in right now. I was privileged enough to go to great schools that knew the importance of technology. And so when teaching, the integration of technology was heightened so that we, as students, would flourish in the new age of tech. From a young age, tech classes teaching how to correctly type, safety procedures navigating the internet, and small websites like Canva were introduced to me. I love Canva and think it is a helpful tool for all students. Whether you are on your way to being a teacher or an architect, the range of Canva is why I love it so much. It is very easy to navigate and if used right, can be beneficial to anyone. I definitely see myself using it again, especially since my aspirations are to be a teacher, passing on the knowledge I have received to my future students will be a great joy. Same goes to LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a great professional website and will make me extremely marketable to my future endeavors. It is a great way to build resume and become connected in a community with other aspiring people within your field of choice. Both Canva and LinkedIn help differentiate me from other candidates seeking the same job as me. Instead I would be sought-after because of the elevation these two websites give to my career. As for using chat boxes while seeking jobs, as beneficial as it can be, such as helping me find just the right words to impress my future boss, I feel as though chatbots fall short and make me less personable. I am still on my journey to learn how to better use AI to my advantage but as for now feel as though it can take away what I have to offer as a human being. My own “flare” on things becomes muted and “generated” to whatever the chatbot has used before. Again I will say it is still early in its stages and is helpful for its initial intentions but ultimately I believe my own human interactions are as crucial in landing me the job as well as the use of technology.
