My Mid-Term Reflection...

Q: How has this project prepared you for your future career?

Well, the semester is almost at an end and I've only grown from the beginning. Now, although I am familiar and have used tools such as chatbots and Canva in the past, my skills when using them have only bettered.

For one, my comprehension for the developing AI chats has never been as good as it is now. I now understand the patience it takes to pull the exact answer you may be looking for when using a chatbot. As it grows so do we. I'm sure AI can be intimidating to some but you have to take the time to want to learn to use it. It's all a learning curve. After taking this course and keeping Miss A's words and advice in mind, navigating a chatbot became very simplistic and not at all overwhelming like it has been in the past.

Accommodating to the AI, I found myself having to be very descriptive, making sure to leave little room for the AI to interpret something wrong. It's essentially like holding a child's hand, giving step by step instructions so that the AI can provide you with exactly what you need. The more description the better.

As well, using tools such as Canva in my specific field will be so so beneficial. I can easily use it to come up sheets for my students to work on or flyers that may be needed to be put up for an event! The appeal to Canva is how easy it is to use! It makes it so that my projects can be tailored to having personality. For example when using it for my resume, I chose to add color, now not everyone will do this when interviewing.

However because I did choose to do this and used Canva to personalize my resume, my chances of being selected immediately become better.  Of course there is still so much room for improvement. I know my professional social platforms, like LinkedIn need improvement, and I will continue to keep up with them to have the best advantages in my future career. Overall technology is prevalent and will continue to flourish in our society. I appreciate every aspect of this class for setting me up for success in this new tech world.
